- EAT SMALL, FREQUENT MEALS: By eating frequently, you are boosting your metabolism and speeding up how fast your body burns calories. This also helps you avoid hunger. And, your body doesn’t think it’s starving which can shut down burning calories as fast. Never go more than 4 hours without eating something, don’t skip breakfast — eat at least a piece of whole grain toast and drink juice.
