Both of my parents have been doing it (Medifast) for the last 6 weeks and my father lost 20 lbs my mother has lost around 10 it really works if you stick to it and have the determination -good luck I tried the diet for two weeks, while incredibly effective I had a reaction to the Soy based product line. I did the program (not diet) no deviations, no cheating, no excuses. I lost 26.4lbs in one month and 40.5 in two! I have more energy, my sleep problems are gone, my skin looks better. All of this from some decent nutrition? Wow! I continue my program now, over 1/2 way to my goal. Although it works for some, it did not work for me. It doesn't work for everyone.. This program is definitely do-able. I lost 8 pounds the first two weeks (much, I'm sure, was water).
