5 Healthy Ways To Lose Weight

The world is fascinated with a healthy weight diet, some for health reasons and others for cosmetic. No matter the reason, many people try harsh diets that never work, extreme exercise regimens that result in injuries or other weight loss program that end without success. The reason that none of these weight loss methods seem to work is because in order to stay with a program, you have to enjoy it. Not only that, but it has to be safe as well.

Below are 5 genuine tips to weight loss, which almost anyone can do without tossing out their favorite food or spending every spare minute in the gym. Realistically, any weight loss program will take time. People who promise you different are either lying or simply uninformed. Follow one single weight loss program for 30 days, whatever it may be, and see if you have results. Move on to to something else if you have to. Tip # 1
Walking. You can strengthen your legs and heart as well burn some calories in the process just by setting aside 30 minutes each day to enjoy a leisurely stroll.

Tip # 2
Use a mini cycle. These portable little exercise units offer the look of bicycle pedals set up on a metal bar, but without the high price or weight of a standard exercise bike. Anywhere you can comfortably sit and reach the pedals like on a couch or at your desk is where you can use the mini cycle.

Tip # 3
Walk or take the stairs instead of an elevator. Without even noticing the extra effort, this is a great weight loss exercise. Simply taking a few extra steps everyday will have great benefits as far as losing weight is concerned. The next time you go to the store, park in the middle of the parking lot and walk to the store. It is tempting to park in the closest space to the door but opt to walk instead and don’t park in that closest spot.

Tip # 4
You don’t necessarily have to cut out all of your favorite foods, but you should eat them in moderation. No single food will prevent you from losing weight unless that food is all that you eat. for example, simply limit your intake to just one candy bar or a miniature candy bar if you are really being careful. There is no reason to cut out your favorite food when a conservative amount of the things we love can still have a place in our lives, including during the times that we are focusing on weight loss.

Tip # 5
Set aside a certain amount of time each day for exercise no matter what you do. Individuals who set a routine are much more likely to stay with it and find success than those who simply exercise whenever they have time. The goal to a healthy weight loss is to make time.

Get Motivated To Lose Weight

Just wanting to drop some pounds is simply not enough to get highly motivated and stay that way.  To lose weight, you will have to put forth a significant amount of effort, regardless of what the marketing hype about how easy a weight loss program is might lead you to believe.  To stay on track and make the necessary changes in your eating and exercise habits, you need strong, emotional motivating factors.  You need to experience strong emotions to stay adequately motivated and you need to be able to access those strong emotions on a moment’s notice to keep you from giving in to moments of weakness that make you want to cheat.

Emotional leverage is the key to highly effective  motivation for weight loss.  For the majority of people, emotional leverage is strongest when it comes from the desire to avoid negative feelings.  Because of this, it is necessary to get in touch with the negative feelings that are driving your desire to lose weight.  Many people do everything they can to avoid negative feelings, but to be able to accomplish significant goals in losing weight, experiencing negative emotion is essential to getting strongly motivated to follow through on diet and exercise programs.

If you’re not ready to experience any negative emotion, it’s probably best if you stop reading this article right now and forget about losing weight.

You have to take a hard look at your reasons for losing weight and really get into the emotions behind those reasons.  For example, if you feel unattractive because of the excess weight, really get into that feeling.  What are the consequences of feeling unattractive.  Maybe your romantic relationships suffer.  Maybe you start to avoid being around the people you love because you think they’ll see you as fat and disgusting.  Really get into it and feel the pain - that’s the thing that’s going to keep you on track so you can finally lose the weight!
